Character Class

Do you find it challenging to write awkward, embarrassing, or painful stories?

I remember when I wrote my solo show, Wake Up Little Susy.

There were times I literally could not write.

When I began to write about my "love life," there were things that Susy Porter just couldn't say.

Then, like an avenging angel, the character "Vadge" popped into my head.

Vadge was the voice from 'Down South' (I used a cute puppet to play her in the show) and she said things that people pleasing Susy would never say.

She spoke the truth, in her own voice, a voice that had her distinct point of view.

She was hilarious and uninhibited.

When she spoke, it felt like a strong, protective mother telling her truth, and putting me first.

In this new class, you'll learn effective, creative ways to write the truth that are imaginative, and fun.

If you have memories, relationships, or events that are hard to write about,

this class will help you tell those stories.

You will learn how to use the power of your imagination to express your raw truth in a safe way.

If you have a story you're afraid to tell, but want to get it out of your head and onto the page, I made this just for you!

Susy Porter is a heart centered healer. She manages to be grounded and a spiritual conduit at the same time. I think what really sets Susy apart from other ‘healers’ is her authenticity and commitment to you understanding where you are, how you got there, and what you can do for your emotional and spiritual growth.

~Kathryn Schorr, Writer/Comedian/Musician

Susy is an exceptionally gifted coach who holds you at the center of the most loving, safe space. In that space, through guided exploration and writing prompts, she has helped me to identify patterns of belief and find answers. Susy has evolved through her own pain and come through with humor and dignity.

This gives her a unique perspective. I held a deep wound from childhood neglect and abuse that was still nagging at me. In the midst of the coaching my mother was dying, which made me revisit old wounds and unresolved pain. I truly believe that if it were not for Susy I would not have been able to go through those difficult months with grace. Susy walked with me until I found clarity and opened my eyes to who I am and who I could become. Through her writing prompts, along with her uncanny ability to cut through to the core of what you are truly saying, she led me through a thoughtful, honest, and powerful process. Through a guided and meditative process, Susy was ably to get me to focus and express myself through writing. It was cathartic and life changing. In the end I wrote a 250 page novelistic memoir. I am forever grateful and cherish the time I had with Susy.

Working with her has helped me gain clarity and focus on everything from my personal mindset, anxiety, self-confidence, life direction, and energy management. She’s been instrumental in helping me fine-tune that inner voice to shift the outmoded stories and behaviors, which to me has been my biggest challenge. She is extremely gifted and creates a safe space for deep life changing transformational work. I highly recommend Susy for anyone who is ready to take the quantum leap into self-actualizing their best life now.
